An Orange Shirt Day event takes place at 420 Express, 3789 6th Line in Ohsweken on Six Nations of the Grand River, on Friday September 18, 2026, from 11AM to 7PM. It is presented by 420 Express and Killer Bee’s, and a portion of all proceeds is being donated to the Survivors’ Secretariat.
The Survivors’ Secretariat is the Six Nations-led organization working to uncover, document and share the truth about the Mohawk Institute Indian Residential School at Brantford. Its work is organized around four pillars: document collection, ground search, advocacy and commemoration. Orange Shirt Day itself falls on September 30, the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation; this event is held in the lead-up to it.
On the day there is free cotton candy, popcorn and hotdogs, plus food trucks and an ice cream truck. The organizers note that the event is hosted at and by a cannabis dispensary and is a cannabis-positive event.
Six Nations of the Grand River has the largest concentration of Indigenous-owned cannabis shops in Ontario, and 6th Line is one of its busiest stretches. If you are making the drive, the rest of the territory is listed below.

Putting on an event? We sponsor them.
RezWeed backs cannabis events on and near reserves — posters, prizes, a tent on the day. If you are organising one and looking for a sponsor, we would rather hear while the poster is still being designed than after it is printed.
